About DOMSEC
The Diocese of Menevia School of Evangelisation and Catechetics
Established by the Bishop of Menevia, the Diocese of Menevia School of Evangelisation and Catechetics (DOMSEC) provides formation and support to Catholics (clergy and laity) who proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ and form others in the Catholic faith.

Our Mission
Our mission is to form and support all those responsible for the work of evangelisation and catechesis in the parishes of the Diocese (clergy, catechists, evangelisers, parents, teachers) and indeed all Catholics as they carry out Christ’s command to make disciples of all nations. The School provides the formation and support through courses, specialised training, workshops and regular events. For its mission, the Diocese of Menevia School of Evangelisation...

Core Objectives
  • To provide training and support to the clergy in evangelisation and catechesis
  • To provide training to lay persons who assist in the work of evangelisation in the parish, including proclamation, catechesis and ongoing formation
  • To provide the ongoing doctrinal and spiritual formation of Catholics
  • To organise regular events that can bring about a more active practice of the faith
  • To provide an organised framework and resource base for evangelisation and catechetical work in the Diocese
  • To work with parishes and deaneries to design and implement evangelisation programmes that address identified needs and challenges
  • To promote initiatives for the proclamation of the Good News

Our Approach
It is Triadic in nature

Our approach to learning and proclamation follows a triad of Learn, Yearn, Share

Learn

As disciples, we learn the Truth at the feet of the Master, Christ himself, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6).  We desire to know the Truth and to refute errors opposed to the Truth (Cf. St Thomas Aquinas, Summa Contra Gentiles, I, 1). For eternal life is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ...
