Our Approach

Our approach to learning and proclamation follows a triad of Learn, Yearn, Share

Learn

As disciples, we learn the Truth at the feet of the Master, Christ himself, who is the Way, the Truth and the Life (John 14:6).  We desire to know the Truth and to refute errors opposed to the Truth (Cf. St Thomas Aquinas, Summa Contra Gentiles, I, 1). For eternal life is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent (cf. John 17:3). In learning, we deepen our understanding of the teachings of Christ as professed by the Catholic Church.

Yearn

As we learn about the Master in his Church, we yearn for and enter into a deep and lasting communion with God and the Church.  We not only know God as the Truth, we yearn for and desire him as the Good (cf. Mark 10:18) and the ultimate end of all things (St Thomas Aquinas, Summa Contra Gentiles, 3, 17). In a deep relationship with God, we order our actions according to his ways, and we commit to living the Christian vocation in the community of disciples in the parish.

Share

A deeper communion with God and the Church commits us to share with others the joy of living the Catholic faith. We make a commitment to carry out the Lord's command to proclaim the Good News to all (Mark 16:15) as we share the unchanging truth of the Gospel in a changing world. Our approach to sharing the message is dynamic, engaging, responsive to contemporary realities, and ever faithful to the sacred Magisterium of the Catholic Church.
