This training prepares individuals and parish evangelisation teams to run Invite-A-Friend events. An Invite-A-Friend initiative is typically aimed at inviting non-Catholics and people of no faith to parish events that provide a glimpse into the sacred and the joy of becoming a disciple of Jesus in the Catholic Church. People are generally open to an invite from church, particularly if it is from someone they know. When we invite someone to a church event, we are welcoming them to a community grounded in our communion with the Holy Trinity and fellowship with one another, and where they can find love, hope, support and respect. This training, based on examples that have worked, will offer participants the help they need to invite and accompany anyone who might want to consider becoming Catholic.
